OptiScreen was founded 30 years ago by a family passionate about improving outdoor living spaces. Starting as a small, family-operated business in Melbourne, we recognized the potential in the building and home renovation market and set out to make a difference for homeowners.
At this time, the typical family home was quite small with large backyards, which were mostly used for hanging out the washing and playing cricket it. We began to explore how families could use more of the backyard space and were successful in creating a few simple skillion veranda roof covers, which give a new space for the family added to the house.

With a growing reputation for quality and innovation, OptiScreen began expanding its product range to include veranda covers, outdoor kitchens, and timber decking extensions.
One of the changes that was taking place was a few large building companies begun making change to house design. This was the beginning of large windows and doors, floor to ceiling allowing for light into the home. This begun the integration of the outdoor space.

Optiscreen continued to adopt changing trends in outdoor living specializing in contemporary enclosures for these homes, providing glass sunrooms conservatories and alfresco, patio coverings.
Customers were adopting to the new lifestyle at home and enjoy family time in their out backyards with all patio covers or enclosured sunroom. Optiscreen was at the leading edge of the outdoor room creating bright, light, weatherproof outdoor rooms with all glass walls and insulated composite roofing, which was much more cost effective than adding a bricks + meter extension.

Vinyl Glazing
OptiScreen began developing and installing vinyl glazed panels, offering a superior alternative to traditional PVC cafe blinds. These panels provide durability and aesthetic appeal, with options of fixed or folding panel which are detachable if required.
These panels are measured to fit the opening, which then give a reasonably good wheather seal. We could offer both a bifold and sliding option, which was the beginning of the new contemporary outdoor room, which could transform your outdoor space.

Our plexiglass screens are the ultimate solution for your outdoor alfresco, patio, pergola area, they look like glass make to last.
Our new plexiglass screens are rigid, the glass come in 2mm or 3mm thickness. They are made from materials that are non toxic which make them safe for use on your home. We have learnt over the years that PVC has a toxic release which can be harmful in warm closed spaces. So we have taken a position to not promote PVC as suitable for enclosures.
